About CSS Typography Calculator

This widget helps you to calculate the relative font size and line height for your CSS document in order to align your website's content to a baseline grid.

Once the values are entered, you can simply paste the generated CSS code into your CSS document.

Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger is required. If you're using Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget's icon in the Widget Bar to open it. If you're using a browser other than Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, unarchive it and place it in /Library/Widgets/ in your home folder. show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget's icon in the Widget Bar to open it.

Known Issues/To-Do:

  • Titles with inverted commas don't copy in the clipboard (possible JS error)
  • Missing formatting (italic) on copied content
  • Make textfield editable so that manual copying is possible
  • Missing formatting on auto-copied text
  • add functions for inline text references as well
